We release the video Aquest collons de poble, first preview of the new album of SOLÉ ‘Aquest collons de poble’ and other songs about Caldes de Montbui, which will be published in September.
After self-healing and reconnecting himself with the artistic vocation with his acclaimed debut, the intimate Em perdono, Solé is now elated and expansive. The musician from the Valles, passionate about Irish music and that country’s tradition of meeting and singing in pubs, has brought all this to his field with an album recorded live in his usual bar; 16 original songs about his immediate surroundings, what he knows best and what has defined him more: his town, Caldes de Montbui. A full of energy concert with a band of six musicians gathered for the occasion, in which Solé explores and rereads genres like folk and tavern songs, combined with pop and rock outbursts which are his trademark.
From a personal approach, “Aquest collons de poble” and other songs about Caldes de Montbui is a universal album that speaks of any town or neighborhood, with situations, characters and feelings that everybody knows: a folk exercise from km 0 on the relationship of a person’s immediate surroundings.
The first single from the new album, Aquest collons de poble (the only song not written by Solé) is a version of the traditional Irish The parting glass. You can see the video on the website of SOLÉ, www.solemusic.cat, where you can listen and download for free his last album, Em perdono.
